Learning Forgiveness

For so long torn by the agony

of sinful constancy, so easily

given over to carnality, I now sip

freely of the living waters

of epiphany: your blood finally

able to wash away my frailty, lifting

my spirit free of the chains

imposed by religiosity; you shed

as an example for

all, once and for all.

Fathomlessly Simple

His love’s as simple as the sea

through ebb and flow, trough and crest

yet just as fathomless you'll see.

When cuddled close by harbor lee

in patient sharing of our best

or raising steam, prepared to flee

then trimming sail at storm's behest,

That beacon light of trust shines free

to show us through the darkest test

Though reef and gale tossed words decree

we stay, firm anchored in such depths

Through passions' clash and sirens' plea

secure our deep set anchors rest:

The Fundamental Of It All

All He represents.

all He has to teach

is wrapped up in one simple

act - of washing other's feet.

The duty of the lowest slave,

to bow and humbly serve,

He willingly performed to teach

what Christians should observe.

The greatest is the servant

who empties self of pride,

and so is manifested the

life of Jesus Christ.
